P&G Chemicals Ceases

UK: P&G Chemicals has ceased glycerin production at its West Thurrock plant in London. The site produced approximately 12,500 tons of glycerin and employed almost 400 people, ten of those in the glycerin refinery business. Those affected by the change were reassigned to other Procter & Gamble positions. The refinery represented only about 10% of P&G’s glycerin production and its closure is expected to have minimal impact on direct customers. Those customers who relied on glycerin...
